New Meter Requirements from the U.S. Postal Service Meter Migration & Decertification Mandate

Postal regulations

Nems wants to provide you with important information about the upcoming decertification and meter replacement deadline established by the U.S. Postal Service. This USPS mandate is referred to as Phase 4 and requires all security enhanced rotary postage meters be upgraded to digital postage meters by December 31, 2008.

The purpose of this USPS meter migration enhancement program is to significantly strengthen the security of postal funds for all users and to help build a foundation for the future of "intelligent" mail. Fraudulent acts and misuse of postal funds can be costly to your business, and investigations are time consuming and expensive. All of this can create inefficiencies in postal service and contribute to increased postal rates.

Contact a Nems representive today to help you better understand the new meter requirements and the deadline being imposed. We encourage you learn as much as you can about decertification, and take the necessary timely steps to meet USPS deadlines. The only way this initiative could negatively impact your business is if you're not properly prepared.

Even if you are using a non-Hasler postage meter at the present time, our representatives are ready to help you determine how best to cost effectively meet your postage needs and satisfy all USPS meter requirements before the deadlines occur. Email us here.
